The last day of the ★ BIG(3) Final in Muiden brought one or two surprises! In light winds around 6 kn, a total of two races were sailed.
The winner of the ★ BIG(3) Final, which was at the same time District Championship and Dutch Championship, was already determined after the penultimate race with the Swiss Piet Eckert & Frederico Malo. In the last race it was all about 2nd and 3rd place, where a total of four teams delivered a hot battle!
In the end the juniors Jan Borbet & Jesper Spehr could secure the second place with the daily placements 1 and 3. The Dutch team Haico de Boer & Thomas Allart followed with the same number of points.
All in all, the final in Muiden was an excellent end to the ★ BIG(3) series and the season. A big thank you to the organizing fleets from Essen, Holland and from the Möhne, as well as the organizing club KNZ&RV!
In the overall classification of the ★ BIG(3) Series Jan Borbet & Jesper Spehr won ahead of Reinhard Schmidt & Niels Hentschel. We are already looking forward to next year! Next year’s events will be published soon. Get ready for something even bigger than it already was in 2022 anyway.
